Sorry your good time off mtx has come to an end .I did a similar thing ,& it was great to get away from that yukky sickness feeling.afte They put me on the injections,& I can honestly say you donte feel the needle go in . occationally you get a sensitive spot. The first time you do it is daunting ,but after the apprehension you will be super confidant. It was much more effective 4 me, felt better ,the ist week ,so will keep fingers crossed 4 u. I,am now using methojet? which is good because you donte have to keep it in the fridge & it has a longer shelf life which is great for holls. I am thinking of you ,you must be in awful pain with such a high esr &crp. Get better soon love Rosexx

Hi Jean, sorry you need to go back on them but at least you know that your body has had a break from them for a while and that you have given it a try.
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Hi

I was taken off the MTX and had the steroids reduced completly as My Rheumy consultant wasn't sure he had the diagnosis right. I ended up in hospital after only 2 weeks. So we then knew that the MTX did work as I'm sure you are aware as one of the most experienced forumers.

So I just wanted to say I inject both in my leg and for the 1st time last week in my stomach and that wasn't too bad. I'm trying to leave a bit of room on my legs for the Humira.

So good luck and I do hope it makes you feel better.

best wishes

Tricia

Hi Jean

I think you took an amazingly brave decision to stop and all credit to you. I often wonder what these drugs are actually doing to us all and whether they are achieving anything. Ideally I would like to stop everything and just see, but ...

I am still off the methotrexate despite a letter from the consultant telling me to restart last week. I will when I'm ready, although reluctant! It's so good not to have the 'mtx feeling' and I do actually feel better for not taking it.

I hope the injections are the answer for you and they work well.
Thinking of you Smile

Thanks again everyone, for your words of wisdom and encouragement. It's good to know that many of you cope well with injections.

The thing which worries me about your situation, Lyn, is that I left it too long and boy, am I suffering now! PLEASE don't leave it too long OK?

What would I do without you all?

Much love
Jeanxxxx
